The beer style “Abt” comes from the word “Abbot,” a title bestowed upon the most senior monk in a monastery. Beers marked with the Abt designation were often the strongest, most flavourful or even the most successful beers, featuring dark, rich, complex flavours. These special beers were reserved for the Abbot and his guests. This Quadrupel is next in our Assoifé series. Following Assoifé 6, 8 and 10, we present Assoifé- 12 – Abt, our largest, richest and most complex of the series. Notes of prunes, dates, figs, caramelized grapes and just a hint of spice serve to complement this divine nectar. Now we’re in heaven!
